matching

I saw a cute couple today in matching outfits. Wait, I shouldn't say "matching" - that implies they coordinated. These were the same outfits. They both had short, white hair, a powder blue polo shirt, the same camel colored blazer, tan pants, and (probably just matching) white shoes. Thought I don't think the Scott and I will ever, ever, ever be found in the same outfits in our older age, this couple made me smile! :)

It's official, we now drive an old car versus just an older car.I think that I am going to change my mind set and make it 150,000 that is the level one must reach to exceed older and become old because I owe too much on this car to have it be old! Remember when you were little and age 40 was so old??? Seeing as how my husband is closer to 40 than to 30, I think that I'd like to change that mind set as well because seriously - I'm close to being married to a 40 year old!

Even though I won't reach that age myself until 3 years later, just the idea that my husband is that old makes me feel old too. So, a change of mind set - age 70 is the new old (of course, no offense meant to those of my readers that might be closer to 70 than 40)

Do you sometimes look at your baby's clothes and think "no way those can fit - they are huge" and then they do?

Hanging out in the diaper box. This is way more fun than peek-a-boo with just boring ol' hands!

The black eye. While pushing a toy school bus in front of her, Maddy went down when it got going faster than her. The black eye that followed but pretty ferocious!

Feed the Birds

We've been reading "Moo, Baa, La La La" and Maddy is getting remarkable good at "baaaaa". We have been talking about animals and the sounds they make so much lately.

So, while visiting Grandpa and Grandma in Payson this weekend, we decided it would be fun to visit Salem Pond and feed the ducks with cousins Caroman and Anna.

The first bunch of ducks we found weren't hungry. So, I suppose it's all the same that Maddy wasn't interested in tossing the bread. Everytime we gave her some to throw, she just ate it herself!

After finding a few ducks that were more interested in eating, we headed out to look at the cows (no, she didn't sit up there in the front seat the whole time, just while we drove 1 mile and hour through the livesock).

As with the ducks, she sat quietly and watched the animals - not really scared, but not really excited either. Just taking it all in I suppose!

By the time we actually drove past the sheep, she was DONE and didn't even want to look. We promptly all came home and took afternoon naps - ahh - Sunday naps!
