it was really too late for a nap. But, she was cranky and couldn't stop whining about everything and throwing things when she got frustrated. So, I decided that a nap was needed. After the past 45 minutes of sobbing, she's finally asleep. It's now 4:25, the time when I would normally be waking her up from her nap. Sheesh.

Maddy conversations

This morning I told Maddy that her dress-up high heels should be left in her room

Maddy: No, I wear them
Mom: but booomer might get them

(boomer is the dog at Stacy's house)

Maddy: No, I wear them
Mom: but Sophie will want to wear them . . .
Maddy: Mommy, I share. May I?

I gave in.

Oh Those Summer Nights

The Summer Party for my company this year was at Rio Tinto Stadium back at the end of July. (I know, I'm a little late in my posting)

We invited the O's to join us for the game. I'll admit, I don't know much about soccer - only what I've learned from watching Hockey actually. But more fun than watching the game was watching the people. There was a large group of fans that were playing latin music the whole time and had a fog machine and confetti and everything. That is what I call a fan club!

Then there was the group all dressed in black with tattoos covering the majority of their bodies who at multiple times during the game had some chant that involved the middle finger . . . I spent lots of time trying to figure out their angle. At least they were cheering for Real Salt Lake.

We are proud to annouce, after 5 years, we have a flower bed finished!

It will take some time until it grows in, and I have a few more plants to add. But I am thrilled. Now, if I can just manage to keep these plants from dying this fall or over the winter. . .
